Giving Back

Service has always been an important part of who I am, and I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to causes that matter to me and my community.

As part of the National Honor Society (NHS), I played a key role in organizing a fundraiser where we raised $1,350 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support the fight against breast cancer. Seeing our school community come together to make a tangible impact was an experience I will never forget.

I also participated in the Special Olympics Chicago Polar Plunge, where I raised funds to support the incredible athletes of the Special Olympics. Jumping into freezing waters was not just exhilarating, it was a powerful way to stand alongside others for a great cause.

Beyond these events, I have volunteered at places like Feed My Starving Children, where I helped pack meals to be sent to children in need around the world. Knowing that a few hours of effort could make such a difference for families in need was truly humbling.

Through NHS and other initiatives, I have been involved in a variety of service projects, from community cleanups to organizing events that bring people together for a shared purpose. Each of these experiences has taught me the value of teamwork, compassion, and the power of giving back.
